CLIMATE CHANGE: ALL DAY EVERY DAY

After the IPCC’s Global Warming of 1.5 °C special report published in October 2018 the world seemed to acknowledge the changing climate as a global crisis. As the changes and effects are more visible to human eye in many parts of the world, in others, it still feels and seems like an abstract phenomenon hard to grasp – despite the fact that in the northern hemisphere, the effects of the warming climate are said to be two-fold. How does the changing climate show in the everyday lives of people? What does climate change look like in Finland? Climate change all day every day is a project documenting the signs of climate change in Finland through the eyes of the photographer.

The images invite the viewer to look for manifestations of climate change today and imagine what our society might look like in the years to come, if both local and global policies fail to act on the climate crisis.
