A journalistic project on curbing the climate crisis from a perspective of a surfer together with journalist Pauliina Toivanen. The project started in autumn 2015 from Meri-Pori, Finland. In 2016 we embarked on an adventure through Europe all the way to Southern France, reporting our experiences on traveling by an electric car. Our latest work focused on slow surf traveling as we explored the possibilities of train travel to Southern Portugal in winter 2020. We’ve created stories to Finnish magazines Tekniikan maailma, Retki-lehti and Latu & Polku as well as to international Surf Girl Magazine and a German based surf publication PULK.

With Bothnia Seas, we try to find answers to the question of how a sport such as surfing can be used for environmental development and a tool for curbing the climate crisis.
